The WPL205 is Wasp's value-packed direct thermal barcode printer. Ideal for creating black and white product shipping labels or other barcode labels. Conveniently sized with a clamshell design that makes media loading a snap, this easy-to-use printer provides all you need in a desktop barcode printer. Using a direct thermal printing process, barcode labels can be created that also include text and company logos. Direct Thermal Printing burns an image directly onto the label and works similarly to a traditional fax machine with heat sensitive paper. Direct thermal creates high quality labels that are ideal for immediate use, such as a package or product shipping label, or when a permanent barcode label is not required. Thermal Transfer Printing requires a ribbon in which the ribbon ink is burned directly onto the label.
