Tripp Lites USB 2.0 to SATA / IDE Adapter allows individual or simultaneous connection to either a Serial ATA or IDE drive (2.5" or 3.5"). You can also transfer data between a SATA and an IDE drive over the adapter. Configure hard drives without having to install them first. The adapter is designed to allow a Serial ATA drive to attach to the side and an IDE to the front of the adapter. The unit comes with an adapter to change the native 2.5" IDE interface (44pin) to 3.5" (40pin). Any SATA or IDE drive can be conveniently turned into an external USB 2.0 storage drive.
