Summary

The X series of VXAtape cartridges by Exabyte use Advance Metal Evaporated (AME) technology, which provides significantly longer tape life, 500 minimum uses compared to 99 maximum uses for DDS tapes. Available in three storage capacities, the VXAtape cartridges optimize the performance of the VXA Technology available in Exabyte VXA-2 or VXA-3 series drives. The VXA X data cartridges are not compatible with the VXA-1 series drives.
