The ADTRAN Total Access 1500 Quad POTS (RT) provides four independent POTS interfaces between a Voice Frequency transmission and signaling facility and PCM interface. Each interface contains the necessary circuitry to convert voice data signals from the customer's loop to PCM digital data and to convert PCM digital data from the carrier to voice data. The unit is intended to interface a VF channel to the remote end of a two-wire POTS circuit. The Quad POTS (RT) occupies a single slot in the Total Access 1500 chassis. It operates in a loop start mode only, and provides adjustable TX and RX TLP ranges. The Quad POTS (RT) is Caller ID CLASS compatible. The unit performs a digital loopback towards the network. The equipment meets all UL, NEBS, and TA-NWT-000057 requirements. When used with the Total Access 1500 Quad LIU, 24 Quad POTS cards provide 96 POTS circuits from one Total Access 1500 chassis.
