Sony is proud to announce its SDX3-100C cartridge in AIT-3 format, heralding a significant improvement in recording density over the previous AIT-1 and AIT-2 formats. The SDX3-100C cartridge offers a massive 100 GB of native capacity, or 260 GB in compressed form. When used with an AIT-3 drive, this format delivers transfer rates of 12 MB/s in native form and 31 MB/s in compressed form. The SDX3-100C cartridge employs R-MIC (Remote Memory In Cassette) system.
