The LL1513D offers a new way for customers requiring high quality, realistic visualization to view 3D graphics without the hassle of special 3D glasses! Sharp’s revolutionary 3D switchable display offers all the unique advantages of Sharp LCD monitors, plus, at the touch of a button, will switch into 3D mode, allowing those software programs designed to display graphics in 3D to be viewed in spectacular detail. Sharp’s 3D LCD Technology uses a secondary LCD as a parallax barrier. This LCD is switchable, and when off, the display acts the same as a normal 2D LCD monitor. When the barrier display is switched on, the light passing through the primary TFT LCD is directed, such that odd pixel columns are focused towards the left eye and the even pixel columns are focused towards the right eye. When the software displays a 3D image, the 2 different perspective views are shown to each eye and the brain fuses these into a realistic 3D view. For use in both vertical and entertainment markets, the LL1513D is the choice for high quality, 3D visualization. Seeing may not be believing with Sharp 3D!

Switchable 2D/3D display without the need for special glasses The LL1513D uses Sharp's TFT 3D LCD Technology to offer realistic visualization with a complete sense of depth that has not been previously available in LCD displays. The technology makes the image on the screen appear in 3 dimensions without the need for the user to wear special glasses.
Switches between 2D and 3D display mode Switching between 2D and 3D display mode can be performed simply by pressing the 3D button on the display. This activates or deactivates the parallax barrier allowing the display to be used in either mode.
Software addressable 2D/3D Mode The 2D/3D switching is activated by the Sharp 3D Technology interface, allowing software programmers to make their 3D applications intelligent. The interface is bi-directional, meaning that software can detect the switch activation and enable or disable 3D visualization accordingly. The communication between the 3D button and the PC is enabled through the built in USB connection.
Compatible with existing 3D software Applications If your software supports stereoscopic viewing with 3D glasses, then it will probably work with the LL1513D monitor. This is because the graphics cards manufacturers who support stereo with glasses have updated their drivers to support the Sharp 3D display technology.
