The SMC2555W-AG2 Universal 2.4GHz/5GHz Wireless Access Point is a tri-mode Access Point that provides the most expanded user bandwidth available. Up to 64 wireless clients can connect to the SMC2555W-AG2 to transfer data at speeds up to 15 times faster than previous wireless devices. The SMC2555W-AG2 operates seamlessly in the 5 GHz and 2.4GHz frequency spectrums, supporting the 802.11b and the newer, faster 802.11g and 802.11a wireless standards. For security, the Access Point supports enterprise-level advanced authentication and encryption, including Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), up to 152-bit WEP encryption, 802.1x authentication access control with key rotation. For offices, schools, or public hotspots that already use 802.11b devices, the SMC2555W-AG2 is a great way to expand existing networks and enable more users to communicate with one another to access data and share an Internet connection.

SMC EliteConnent Universal Wireless Access Point Features
AP/Bridge
High performance data rates up to 54 Mbps in 802.11g, and up to 11 Mbps in 802.11b with auto-fallback
feature. In addition, the IEEE 802.11 WDS (Wireless Distribution System) technology can be
used to manually establish up to 6 wireless links between APs.
AAA
Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) services are supported via 802.1x/RADIUS
client and server devices. The Wireless Hotspot Gateway also supports an Internal Database of
users so that you do not have to add an additional Radius Server.
POS Ticket Printer
Supports an external ticket printer/keypad, so a Hotspot Venue can print a ticket for temporary
users that will only need the fractal time for Internet access. Includes Mini-POS Ticket Printer
(SMCWHS-POS) for ticket printing and device*.
Gateway/ Router
Provides up to 4 DSL/CATV connections, so it can support out-bound load-balancing and
bandwidth aggregation. The multiple WAN connections provide fail-over and connection
back-up capability to guarantee 'always-on-line' connections.
SPI Firewall
Analyzes incoming and outgoing packets based on a set of criteria for abnormal content. SPI can
detect hacker attacks, and can summarily reject an attack if the packet fits a suspicious profile.
