OKI ribbons cost more to buy compared to generic but if you compare how long they last you will find they cost less. Plus our Oki printer don't preform well with generic ribbons. This is a true case of "you get what you pay for". We have all Oki printers. We buy only Oki ribbons.

We use Oki impact printers for our critical point of sale customer invoices. Our printing has to be easy to read and clear to help us eliminate shipping errors. We tried generic ribbons with very mixed success. Using the genuine Oki ribbons has improved our print quality, reduced short-lived ribbons, and helped us cut cost. The Oki ribbons print better and last longer. Increasing the page count per ribbon is measurable.

We have a dozen Oki printers banging away all day. We know that the genuine Oki ribbons perform better than any other brand that we have tried. The initial cost is slightly higher, but the length of performance is longer, so at the end of the day, the OE Oki ribbons cost less than generics
