Reduces random image noise, which is a prime offender in affecting the quality of scanned images. Microtek's multiple sampling technique optimizes image data while reducing data variation. Each scanned line is sample multiple times, and an average is obtained to distill top-quality data, effectively minimizing signal fluctuation and artifacts. This results in purer image output, greatly enhancing the optical density range.
