The Magellan Explorist 600 leads the Explorist series in options and capability. The easy to use and easy to read GPS unit includes a 16 color display, one button access to critical features, and intuitive operation with keypad and joystick controls. The unit supports an electronic 3-axis compass which provides accurate direction information without the need for additional navigation instruments, as well as a barometer, thermometer, barometric pressure altimeter, and more. The unit incorporates programming for area calculation, built-in mapping and the Geocache manager, a PC-file system to manage your coordinates. All of the features are supported with TruFix Technology, which allows the unit to take advantage of 14 parallel channels in coordination with WAAS and EGNOS Satellite-Based Augmentation System, which provides fast signal acquisition, minimal signal loss and reliable accuracy within 3 meters.
