Smooth Color Gradients
With 10 bit gamma correction, the LaCie 300 Series monitor provides the finest caliber of gamma control, expressly engineered for serious digital imaging professionals. Whereas traditional 8 bit gamma allows for only 256 tonal options, 10 bit gamma expands tonal range to 1024, smoothing color gradation and vastly improving image precision and accuracy. Consistent gradient tones are produced by internally converting each 8 bit RGB color channel to 10 bits automatically, thus preventing banding. By either preset or custom settings from 0.5 to 4.0, gamma can be adjusted in increments of 0.1 for maximum flexibility. This allows for smooth transitions in color gradients present in areas such as skin tones or shaded black and white images.

The LaCie 320 Monitor easily displays an A4 page in 1:1 format in both landscape and portrait mode. This allows professionals to view a document on their monitor in the same format as it will be printed, thus avoiding repeated, time consuming document rescaling and scrolling.
