Data is automatically duplicated to each drive so the available capacity is reduced to 50%. If one drive fails in RAID 1, data remains accessible and can even be automatically rebuilt onto a spare drive (sold separately). For ensuring complete data security and availability, the drives are hot-swappable. The 2big Triple comes with award-winning EMC Retrospect Express for advanced backup management and data restoration (Windows & Mac).
