IBM eServer xSeries 226 Tower Server Series Servers
Ideal for mid-sized business applications that include remote office, file and print systems, retail applications, and collaboration, the 226 series builds on the functionality and reliability of the 206 series, while adding support for two Intel Xeon processors, greater storage capacity, and additional memory. The tower servers include two Intel Xeon processors with up to 3.4 GHz, 800 MHz bus speed, and Intel Extended Memory Technology, PC2-3200 DDR II memory up to 16 GB, and support for both PCI-X and PCI-Express slots. The integrated storage options support six hot-swappable Ultra320 SCSI hard disk drives with a maximum storage of 1.8 TB, or four simple-swap Serial ATA hard disk drives with a maximum storage of up to 1.0 TB.
