The ProLiant BL20p G4 dual processor server blade, engineered for enterprise performance and scalability, features Intel processors with Dual-core technology, SAN storage capability, and four gigabit NICs. The ProLiant BL20p G4 shares the same infrastructure components as all other HP BladeSystem p-Class server Blades. (Note: Some p-class models may require the BL p-class server blade enclosure with enhanced backplane components). HP Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2) advanced functionality ships standard on the ProLiant BL 20p G4 server blade. iLO 2, coupled with other solutions such as ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack, which aids with server blade deployment, is designed to help customers more easily manage their server environment, while helping to reduce TCO. The ProLiant BL20p G4 also delivers optional Fiber Channel support for SAN (Storage Area Network) implementations and clustering capabilities. This will assist customers in achieving improved data availability, scalability, and management cost savings from consolidating disk resources.
