The optional Rollfeed accessory is composed of 3 main modules: right and left roll supports, and a spindle. The Rollfeed is designed to provide a controlled tension to the paper in order to avoid misalignment and unwinding the media. The purpose of this separate product is to support operation of the HP DesignJet 400 Series printer with roll media in order to meet the following objectives: able to work both on a table top and a printer stand, easy to install, easy to use, able to be left unattended, and generally able to finish the roll without any extra alignment required. You experience no PQ degradation in respect to single-sheet operation and get the same success rate in single-sheet media load as without Rollfeed installed. The Rollfeed does not require legs to be mounted. Mount the Rollfeed on the printer, and then use it as a desktop printer without using legs. The rollfeed is user-installable and comes with easy-to-follow instructions. The legs from your 330/350C will fit onto the new DesignJet 400 Series printer; however, the Rollfeed option is different. If you have an E size Rollfeed unit (supporting 36-inch rolls), the end-cap can also be adjusted to accommodate 24-inch rolls. You can order additional spindles from your local HP dealer to make changing media more convenient. When going from one media to another, you can then simply change the spindle in the Rollfeed unit.
