Until the ink is depleted as indication by the printer, or the end of warranty date is reached, whichever occurs first.
I would not recommend Generic ink, especially if you use glossy photo paper or banner material. Buy the genuine stuff, and watch out for refilled cartridges being sold as new (not from this retailer, but on eBay, etc.) The cost savings will cause more problems in the long run, trust me!
