The Fujitsu Scanner Endorser prints values onto the physical document while the document is being scanned. To print values on a physical document, the scanner must possess Endorser hardware. This is a post endorser, simples backside only. The post endorser doesn't capture the endorsed value but is often used in combination with electronic annotation. The image has the endorsed value electronically printed on it.

Endorser - The unit for printing characters before or after scanning. These character may be used for collation of the documents and the image data.
The Post Endorser does not capture the endorsed value, but is often used in combination with electronic annotation (the image has the endorsed value electronically printed on it). Usually, scanners have either a pre or post endorser only. A select few have the option to choose whether you want pre or post endorsing.
Scanners often include the option to scan both the front and back side of the document. This is referred to as “Duplex” scanning. Scanners that support duplex scanning and endorsing will occasionally support “Duplex Endorsing.” Duplex endorsing allows values to be printed on both sides of the document. Most scanners only include single-side endorsing, usually for the front side of the document. This is referred to as “Simplex Endorsing.”
Endorser works with and without VRS. It is enabled through ImageControls endorser interface, not the VRS interface. Counter increments to a maximum value of 16,777,215 and resets to 0.
