Exabyte 215M Plus Tape Library

Designed for IT environments with increasing data storage requirements, the Exabyte 215M tape library brings affordable, high-performance, dependable automation technology to backup. The Exabyte 215M accommodates up to two M2 tape drives and 15 data cartridges and offers the ability to conduct unattended operations for over 10 hours. To protect the user's investment, the library allows users to start with one drive and ten cartridges and easily integrate an additional drive and cartridges as their data storage needs grow. The easy-to-use interface guides users through library and drive status, diagnostics and help functions. Occupying just five rack units in height, the Exabyte 215M utilizes very little space and maximizes the use of valuable data center space, especially when two units are mounted side by side in the rack. The compact size allows the library to fit on the desktop or on top of a server. Tape drives are designed to be field replaceable, allowing for ease of service and the ability to upgrade to future-generation tape drives, further protecting the user's investment. The Exabyte 215M library includes one M2 tape drive. All configurations include one drive blank, robotics and drive enclosure, US and international power cord, SCSI cable and terminators, one data cartridge magazine and an installation and operation manual. 215M-Plus configurations also include bar code scanner and labels, and Library Monitor software.
