It does not include tape media, it must be purchased separately, Using its Ultra2 LVD SCSI interface, it features a sustained data transfer rate of 165 MB/min (native) and 330 MB/min (compressed). Supporting media with 20 GB native capacity and 40 GB compressed capacity, the DAT 40 tape drive is compatible with DDS-DC, DDS-2, DDS-3 and DDS-4 formats.
