This option gives the customer the advantage to use one the latest interfaces available today. The IEEE 1394, like the USB, is a single interconnection bus that serves many purposes and user scenarios. Like SCSI, the IEEE 1394 does require an interface card to be installed into the PC. It is also referred to as a Firewire card. Many PC vendors have started to include the IEEE 1394 interface as a standard part of their PC.
