The ADTRAN Operating System (OS) provides a stateful inspection firewall, Quality of Service (QoS) via Priority Queuing, DiffServ marking and packet recognition for delay-sensitive traffic like Voice over IP (VoIP), VLAN Trunking (802.1Q) for routing between VLANs, Network Address Translation (NAT) for the concealment of private IP addresses, and optional VPN for secure corporate connectivity across the Internet. The ADTRAN OS offers a user-familiar Command Line Interface (CLI) that mimics the industry de facto standard, therefore requiring little or no retraining and no costly industry certification. The CLI benefits the customer by allowing configuration scripts to be used, saved, and downloaded for a quick and easy recovery mechanism.
