The Adaptec dual tuner is the industry's first external USB 2.0 solution. The product integrates two TV tuners with two hardware MPEG-2 encoders and allows consumers to watch one TV program and record another simultaneously on their PCs, or record two television broadcasts at the same time in DVD-quality video. The Adaptec dual TV-tuner provides integrated infrared technology that allows control over both digital cable and satellite network receivers and includes integrated FM-radio reception.
