Acer V243H AJbd 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor Warranty Information
At work the IT guy purchased 2 of these monitors to replace Samsung monitors that lasted 4+ years. From day one they had color issues (both of them) - you pull up a blank notepad document and some of it is white and other parts are a yellowish gray color. So we trouble shoot it with Acer's tech dept and end up sending one of them back and they fix it 4 weeks later, but that only lasts a week and then it has the same problem again. Before the first one goes bad again we send off the second one and it comes back today with a note saying that they can't find a problem with it and to check my cables (which we already have done). So I plug it in thinking it might be an intermittent problem. Not so - it has the same yellowish discoloration on part of the screen that it had when we shipped it off.
Needless to say I'm not impressed with Acer. This is my first experience with them and it will be my last. Avoid this product! If you count the monitor they "fixed" then I got 3 faulty monitors in a row. 0 for 3 is a definite strike out.
Aside from the above mentioned problems, the monitors also don't display text very well. The edges of fonts look like old bitmaps - not smooth or clean lines.
